- understand why socially just responses to climate change are important and relevant
- identify which people and places may be vulnerable and disadvantaged with respect to different climate change impacts
- examine local patterns of vulnerability and disadvantage in relation to river and surface water flooding and heatwaves through our map tool
- understand which households emit the most carbon, the current state of fuel poverty and the scope for local energy policy responses
- make a case for action considering key principles and guidance on relevant responsibilities
- develop ideas on possible strategies and actions1 to address the issues
- learn from others through case studies based on local responses
- find out about other relevant resources that can be used to help support the development of fair responses to climate change.
