Engaging the voluntary sector in climate adaptation (Bristol)
In November 2015, a number of representatives of voluntary and community sector organisations in Bristol participated in a workshop to discuss the impacts of climate change on the services they provide to some of Bristol’s most socially vulnerable people. The workshop was organised by the Environment Agency, Voscur (an umbrella body for the Bristol voluntary sector), Bristol City Council and Climate UK. Climate Just was utilised to target the invitations to particularly relevant organisations and groups. Pre-prepared GIS maps using Climate Just data were also used as the basis of one of the workshop exercises, to illustrate how different climate and social factors vary between Bristol's neighbourhoods.
